Ajay Devgn organises vaccination drive for the fellow workers of the entertainment and media industry

A vaccination camp was organised by Ajay Devgn’s NY Foundation for the workers of the entertainment industry and media professionals.

The global pandemic spared no one. Among others, the entertainment industry was also hit by the growing pandemic. The light-men, set-decorators and camera attendants who work behind the scenes have become worst-hit as and it has become the responsibility of the celebrities and filmmakers to look after their staff’s safety.

Ajay Devgn has stepped forward to help a large number of people who belong to the film fraternity and also outside.

The famous Bollywood actor-filmmaker, organised a vaccination drive through his NY Foundation on Friday in Mumbai.

The news was confirmed by the trade analyst Tarana Adarsh as he tweeted, “AJAY DEVGN ORGANISES VACCINATION CAMP… #AjayDevgn’s NY Foundation conducted a vaccination camp on 11 June 2021 in #Mumbai… Those vaccinated included workers associated with the entertainment industry and media professionals.”

Earlier in April, the actor had joined forces with BMC and Hinduja Hospital to set up ICU’s and provide emergency medical attention for the people affected in the city by Covid-19.

A media professional who received his first shot on June 11 said, “I sincerely thank NY Foundation for getting me my vaccine. The last few months have been hard on everyone around but more so on us. Our jobs require us to roam the field to get our daily quota of photographs/articles. Without the vaccination, we were putting our lives in peril. However, thanks to Ajay Sir and some other actors/filmmakers, who have reached out to us and offered us help without us asking for it, our lives have become that much easier. Thank you, NY Foundation. Like it is said, it takes one to help one,” via Free Press Journal.

Apart from Ajay Devgn, studios like Yash Raj Films and filmmakers such as Karan Johar, Rajkumar Hirani and producer Mahaveer Jain have also been working to start a free-of-cost vaccination camp for the workers of the entertainment industry.
