On Saturday, actor Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn were spotted at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit 2024 with Sonal Kalra.
Ajay answered in response to the question of whether or not today’s films can occasionally cost more since the actors want big pay. He quoted, “The actors charge according to scripts, films, and projects. Additionally, the majority of us charge based on recoveries.”
“I agree with most of what he said,” Akshay stated. “We simply take a risk when we sign a movie today; there are no fees involved. We receive a portion of the profit if it succeeds, but we receive nothing if it fails.”
He adds, “According to the actor, actors who receive a portion of the profits are rewarded for their accomplishments and punished for their mistakes. As a result, the producers are treated more fairly and equally.”
Ajay further adds, “Sometimes, there is no share, either. Then you have to let go of the price. That’s also passion.”
Recently, Ajay and Akshay’s performance in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again was a huge box office hit. Akshay made a lengthy cameo in the movie, but Ajay played the title part. At the global box office, the movie has made over ₹300 crore.
