Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan reunite for Priyadarshan’s Haiwaan; kick off shoot with playful banter

Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan have reunited after 18 years for Priyadarshan’s upcoming film Haiwaan. The actors kicked off the shoot with a fun video filled with witty exchanges that delighted fans.

Bollywood fans are in for a treat as Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan reunite on screen after nearly two decades with Priyadarshan’s film Haiwaan. The duo, last seen together in the 2008 film Tashan, began shooting for the project and announced it in style with a hilarious video shared by Akshay on Instagram.

In the clip, Akshay is seen holding the clapboard while Priyadarshan and Saif join in playful banter. Akshay sported a T-shirt with “Saint” written on it, prompting Priyadarshan to joke that the shirt was better suited for Saif, while Akshay should hold the Haiwaan clapboard. Adding to the fun, Akshay quipped, “For all you know, he must be a devil,” to which Saif replied, “Inside.” Priyadarshan concluded, “Anyway, I’m working with two devils.”

Sharing the video, Akshay captioned, “Hum sab hi hain thode se shaitaan… Koi upar se Saint, koi andar se Haiwaan. Starting the shoot for #Haiwaan today with my absolute favourite captain of the ship, @priyadarshan.official Sir. Great to be working with Saif after nearly 18 years. Let’s get the haiwaniyat rolling!!” Fans flooded the comments with excitement, calling the reunion a “blockbuster in the making.”

Haiwaan is reportedly a Hindi remake of the 2016 Malayalam film Oppam starring Mohanlal. While further details remain under wraps, the trio’s reunion has already set high expectations.
