To lend a helping hand, Akshay Kumar has stepped up and will reportedly support 3,600 dancers with monthly ration amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Due to the lockdown, film shoots in Mumbai are on hold, which has affected several technicians, backstage dancers, and junior actors, who work on daily wages. To lend a helping hand, Akshay Kumar has stepped up and will reportedly support 3,600 dancers with monthly ration amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Sharing the news, choreographer Ganesh Acharya said for his 50th birthday (June 14), Akshay Kumar had asked him what he wanted as a gift. Acharya had requested him to help 1,600 junior choreographers and aged dancers, and 2,000 background dancers with monthly ration.

Acharya revealed that Akshay Kumar agreed to his wish. He said that the dancers and the choreographers who are registered with them will either get money to afford the essentials or the ration kit to feed their families. The decision will be theirs.

Meanwhile, through Ganesh Acharya Foundation, the choreographer and his wife have been doing their bit to help people of their fraternity.

The Sooryavanshi actor along with his wife Twinkle Khanna had earlier donated 100 oxygen concentrators to tackle the COVID-19 crisis and lack of oxygen supply in the country. He also donated Rs 1 crore to BJP leader and former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir’s foundation.

Speaking on the professional front, Akshay Kumar will be next seen starring in Sooryavanshi, BellBottom, Ram Setu, Atrangi Re, Bachchan Pandey, and Prithviraj.
