Actor Akshay Kumar is all set to make his television comeback as the host of Sony Entertainment Television’s upcoming reality show The Wheel of Fortune. The newly released promo from the opening episode hints at a fun-filled start, featuring special guests Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia Deshmukh and Shreyas Talpade, who bring their trademark humour to the game.
During the light-hearted conversation, Akshay asks Riteish how long he has been married. Riteish shares that he dated Genelia for a decade and has been married to her for 14 years. Akshay then adds his own experience, revealing that he has been married for 25 years and jokingly advises men to quickly learn the art of saying sorry to their wives. Genelia joins the banter by teasing her husband and calling him “Sorry Deshmukh,” leaving everyone laughing.
The promo takes an even funnier turn when Akshay makes a candid revelation about his wife, author Twinkle Khanna. He shares that he often realises she is upset with him only at bedtime, when he finds his side of the bed wet because she has poured water on it. The honest confession leaves Riteish and Genelia in splits and highlights the playful chemistry Akshay and Twinkle are known for.
Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna got married on January 17, 2001, and are parents to son Aarav and daughter Nitara. On the work front, The Wheel of Fortune will premiere on January 27 at 9 pm on Sony Entertainment Television and SonyLIV. Akshay also has films like Bhooth Bangla, Welcome To The Jungle and Haiwaan lined up.
