Akshay Kumar says peace of mind matters more than money while sharing life lessons for daughter Nitara

Akshay Kumar shared that peace of mind matters more than money, as he spoke about the lessons he wishes to pass on to his daughter, Nitara.

At a recent press conference, Akshay Kumar reflected on his thoughts about money, success and mental well-being, stressing that peace of mind should always come before financial wealth. The actor shared that he hopes to instil this understanding in his daughter Nitara, as part of his life lessons to her.

When asked if he plans to teach his daughter the importance of money, Akshay stated that it isn’t something that needs to be taught. According to him, “I don’t think I need to. Everyone understands the value of money in their own way. We all work for it, you, me, everyone here. That’s normal. I don’t have to teach anybody about money.”

He further explained that while earning money is important, mental peace should take precedence. Emphasising this point, Akshay noted, “Everybody knows the importance of money. But what’s more important than money is peace of mind. That’s what I always go for. Yes, I work hard, I work for money, but if I have to choose between the two, I’ll always choose peace of mind over money.”

The actor also touched upon a worrying experience involving his daughter. Speaking at a cyber awareness event in Mumbai, Akshay revealed that Nitara was once asked to send inappropriate pictures while playing an online video game. He shared that she “immediately switched it off and told my wife,” adding that such incidents highlight how necessary it is to educate children about online safety.

Married to Twinkle Khanna since 2001, Akshay is a father to two children, Aarav and Nitara. On the professional front, he was last seen in Jolly LLB 3 and also featured in multiple releases this year, including Sky Force, Kesari Chapter 2, Kannappa, and Housefull 5. His next big film, Welcome to the Jungle, is scheduled to release in December.
