Akshay Kumar takes a playful dig at Kapil Sharma over Canada cafe firing

Akshay Kumar turned a tense topic into laughter on The Great Indian Kapil Show finale as he teased Kapil Sharma about the firing incidents at his Canada café, leaving the audience in splits

Comedian Kapil Sharma, who has been in the spotlight recently due to the firing incidents outside his cafe in Canada, became the subject of some lighthearted banter on the finale episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show. Actor Akshay Kumar, who joined as the special guest, teased Kapil while praising his career growth.

The fun exchange began when Kapil mentioned that Akshay has acted in over 150 films, jokingly asking him whether he is “too talented or if his needs are too many.” Seizing the moment, Akshay flipped the question back at him. With a witty smile, he said, “Tu apna bata na, teen season Netflix pe kar chuka hai yeh. Usse pehle Sony pe tha, usse pehle Colors pe. Abhi do filmein kar raha hai. Isne apna restaurant khol liya aur itni aamdani hai ke waha goliyan bhi chali.” The comment sent the audience and judges into fits of laughter.

Kapil, though amused, refrained from giving a direct reply and continued to laugh along. The friendly banter highlighted the camaraderie between the two stars while also poking fun at Kapil’s recent struggles. Kapil’s café, which opened in Canada on July 4, has already been targeted twice.

The first firing happened on July 10, followed by another on August 7 in the Newton neighbourhood. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the incidents have raised security concerns. Following the attacks, Mumbai Police has provided security cover for the 43-year-old comedian, who continues to balance his television career and business ventures abroad.
