Akshay Oberoi praises Janhvi Kapoor as they team up for Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari

Akshay Oberoi opened up about working with Janhvi Kapoor in Shashank Khaitan’s upcoming romantic comedy Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, calling her intelligent, humble, and refreshingly honest.

Actors Akshay Oberoi and Janhvi Kapoor are set to share the screen in Shashank Khaitan’s much-anticipated romantic comedy Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari (SSKTK). The film, scheduled for release on October 2, 2025, also stars Varun Dhawan, Sanya Malhotra, and Rohit Saraf, promising a vibrant mix of love, tradition, and humour.

In a recent conversation, Akshay reflected on his on-set experience with Janhvi, particularly after fellow actor Gulshan Devaiah had earlier said he did not quite “vibe” with her during their project Ulajh. Offering a different perspective, Akshay revealed that while he and Janhvi didn’t speak much in the beginning, by the fourth or fifth day, they began to connect.

“She’s incredibly intelligent and well-read. She can talk about philosophers like Nietzsche and Kant, and once she opens up, she’s very honest about her vulnerabilities,” he shared. The actor also admired her humility despite her lineage, saying, “Coming from such a legendary family, she remains humble and self-deprecating. That’s not what people would expect. I loved working with her.”

Akshay added that being Sridevi’s daughter comes with its own challenges, but Janhvi never carried herself as if she was above anyone. He recalled meeting her again at an event, where both were genuinely happy to reconnect. With an ensemble cast and Shashank Khaitan at the helm, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is already generating buzz as one of next year’s most awaited films.
