Alia Bhatt calls out media for invading privacy with videos of her under-construction home

Alia Bhatt has strongly criticized media houses and social media pages for circulating videos of her under-construction Bandra home, calling it a violation of privacy and a security concern.

Alia Bhatt has raised her voice against what she describes as a clear invasion of privacy. The actor took to social media to express disappointment over videos of her under-construction Bandra residence being recorded and widely shared by media outlets and Instagram pages. She said the act was unlawful and urged all platforms to remove the content immediately.

In her statement, Alia explained that while space is limited in a city like Mumbai, it does not give anyone the right to film private residences. “Filming or photographing someone’s personal space without permission is not content – it’s a violation. It should never be normalized,” she wrote, adding that such actions pose a serious security risk.

The videos in question reportedly showed a close look at the luxury property Alia is building with her husband Ranbir Kapoor. The couple owns multiple floors in the Bandra building, which will also be home to their daughter Raha and mother Neetu Kapoor. The property is estimated to be worth ₹250 crore and is still under construction.

Fans quickly supported the actor’s stand, with many urging her to take legal action. One user commented, “You should sue so in the future it doesn’t happen again,” while another wrote, “Privacy is privacy, respect privacy.”
