Alia Bhatt praises Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar; calls it “movie magic” in special post

Alia Bhatt has finally weighed in on Ranveer Singh’s much-discussed film Dhurandhar, ending online chatter around her silence on the project. While several celebrities had already praised the film following its release, netizens were quick to notice Alia’s absence from the conversation, especially given her long-standing friendship and on-screen chemistry with Ranveer. The actor has now addressed that curiosity with a strong show of support.

Taking to Instagram, Alia Bhatt and her sister Shaheen Bhatt’s production house, Eternal Sunshine Productions, shared an enthusiastic post applauding Dhurandhar and its makers. The note described the film as reflective of “today’s India,” highlighting its historical roots and celebrating its rise as a major cinematic success. The message credited the team for reviving the theatrical experience, adding that if the first part achieved such impact in winter, the sequel could bring an even bigger wave in spring.

Alia reshared the post on her Instagram Stories, keeping her reaction brief but telling, as she captioned it “Movie magic.” The gesture was enough to reassure fans and put rumours of any discord to rest.
Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, has drawn widespread attention since its release, with praise coming in from across the industry.

Ranveer Singh is currently preparing for Dhurandhar 2, which is slated to hit theatres on March 19. Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt remains busy filming Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, where she stars alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
