Alia Bhatt brought warmth and charm to the Red Sea Film Festival this week, offering a rare glimpse into her life with daughter Raha. The actor attended the festival for a special retrospective celebrating her cinematic journey and left the audience delighted with candid stories about her toddler.
Speaking on stage, Alia shared that Raha, now three, has become more curious and expressive. “The last time I was here, Raha was one and now she is three. ‘Where are you, how far away, what are you bringing me when you come back?’ she asks,” Alia said, smiling as she described the daily conversations she now has with her little one. She added that Raha has even developed a sweet equation with the paparazzi, greeting them confidently when spotted outside.
In one of the most heartwarming moments, Alia sang Raha’s favourite lullaby during the conversation. She revealed that her daughter now makes specific song requests and often asks for “this or that song” before bedtime. Reflecting on how motherhood influences her choices, Alia said, “My priorities are my daughter and my family, so I have to focus on what really matters.”
The actor also spoke about her next big project Alpha, the first female-led film in the YRF Spy Universe. Directed by Shiv Rawail, the action-thriller stars Alia alongside Sharvari and Bobby Deol. “It’s a risk because historically female-led action films have been different in their performance,” she said, acknowledging the significance of the project.
