All India Chess Federation plans on making India a Chess Superpower

The newly elected President of AICF, Sanjay Kapoor on Feb 14 announced the future plans of the Federation which is opening a high-profile Indian Chess League which will start this year and has also decided to bid for the next edition of the Chess Olympiad.

In a federation press conference, the President Sanjay Kapoor also unveiled a blueprint on how the federation plans to turn India into a chess superpower and it has already drawn a detailed plan of action to achieve its goal. A foolproof plan has also been made on how to process further for the Chess Olympiad when its process begins.

Talking about the future AICF plans to initiate/ introduce AICF Chess in Schools to popularize the brain sport at school level and all 33 affiliates will implement this step
