Allu Arjun Hopes to Repeat Pushpa Magic with the Sequel ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’

Telugu superstar Allu Arjun, at a promotional event on Friday, expressed his pride and responsibility as Pushpa 2: The Rule prepares to hit the screens on December 5. Reflecting on his journey, Arjun said he once considered breaking into Bollywood nearly impossible but now sees the Pushpa franchise as a way to unite audiences across India.

The first installment, Pushpa: The Rise (2021), a blockbuster in Telugu and its dubbed versions, gained immense popularity in the Hindi-speaking belt. Arjun hopes the sequel will surpass its predecessor’s success, further elevating Telugu cinema on the national stage. “This is a proud moment for Telugu people who have supported me for 20 years. It’s my time to make them proud on a national scale,” said the actor.

At the event, held in Patna’s Gandhi Maidan, Arjun drew massive crowds while unveiling the film’s trailer. He also shared a heartfelt memory of discussing Hindi cinema’s challenges with composer Devi Sri Prasad, recounting how their aspirations felt distant in the past.

Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule sees Arjun reprising his role as Pushpa Raj, alongside Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil. The actor lauded his co-stars and the entire crew for their dedication over five years. “This film belongs to everyone—the crew, actors, technicians, and unit members,” he said, expressing a desire for its success to honor their hard work.Arjun also praised Faasil’s performance, calling him “phenomenal,” and thanked Mandanna for her support throughout the journey.
