 
									Veteran Padma Shri Allu Ramalingaiah’s wife and grandmother of actors Allu Arjun and Ram Charan, Allu Kanakaratnam, passed away on Saturday at the age of 94 due to age-related ailments. The news of her demise brought together the Allu and Konidela families, who stood united to pay their final respects.
On Sunday, Allu Arjun took to his X account to share an emotional note remembering his “beloved grandmother.” Posting her picture, he wrote, “Our beloved grandmother #AlluKanakaratnam garu now rests in her heavenly abode. Her love, wisdom, and presence will be missed every single day. Heartfelt thanks to everyone who came forward to share their affection and condolences. To those far away, your prayers and love were felt just as much. Thank you for your Love. Humbled.”
The last rites were marked by poignant moments, as Allu Arjun, Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi, and other family members carried the mortal remains as pallbearers. Chiranjeevi too penned a heartfelt message on X, mourning the loss of his mother-in-law. “The demise of Kanakarathnamma Garu, wife of Sri Allu Ramalingayya Garu, is extremely heartbreaking. The love, courage, and life values she showed to our families will forever be an inspiration. I pray to God that her sacred soul attains peace. Om Shanti,” he wrote.
Condolences also poured in from political leaders and dignitaries including Telangana CM A Revanth Reddy, Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, Nara Lokesh, and former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu. Allu Arjun personally responded to each of them, thanking them for their kind words and support.
