At the 2025 International Emmy Awards, Netflix’s Amar Singh Chamkila received nominations in two important categories: Best TV Movie/Mini-Series and Best Performance by an Actor (Diljit). Along with Diego Vasquez, Oriol Pla, and David Mitchell, Diljit will be vying for the prize.
The 2024 biographical drama film, directed by Imtiaz Ali, is based on the life of musician Amar Singh Chamkila. Diljit Dosanjh plays the title role in the movie, while Parineeti Chopra plays Amarjot, his second wife. AR Rahman wrote the music for the movie, which was produced by Mohit Choudhary, Select Media Holdings LLP, Saregama, and Window Seat Films.
