Recently, the Future Group was trying to cut a deal with Reliance Industries by selling assets for ₹24,713 crore and Amazon interfered in that transaction and was thought to be “destroying competition”, when it was actually referring to it’s contract with Future Group from August 2019 when Amazon bought 49% of FRL. That contract barred a transaction between a number of persons and companies including Reliance which is why Amazon has now dragged Future Group to the Court of Singapore International Arbitration Centre which is now reviewing the transaction.
