Ambika Ranjankar, who has been a familiar face in the hit sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah as Komal Hathi, recently became the subject of exit rumours. Her sudden absence from multiple episodes led fans to believe she might have left the show, prompting a flurry of speculation online.
Setting the record straight, the actor clarified in a conversation with Telly Chakkar that she has not quit the long-running series. “No, I haven’t quit the show. I am very much a part of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,” she assured. Explaining her break, she added, “Well, for some personal reasons, I was away. I needed some time for myself.”
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, known for its slice-of-life comedy revolving around the residents of Gokuldham Society, continues to be one of television’s most loved shows. The ensemble cast includes Dilip Joshi, Munmun Dutta, Amit Bhatt, Sunayana Fozdar, Sachin Shroff, Mandar Chandwadkar, and others, who together keep audiences entertained with their lighthearted stories.
Recently, the makers introduced a new Rajasthani family called the Binjolas, adding fresh dynamics to the show. Kuldeep Gor plays Ratan Binjola, a saree shop owner, while Dharti Bhatt portrays his influencer wife Rupa Baditop. Their children, Veer and Bansari, are essayed by Akshaan Sehrawat and Maahi Bhadra.
