Total of eight Indian boxers, including seven women, entered into the finals of the Youth World Championships in Kielce. This is an unprecedented victory for the country in the marquee age group event.
The ones who made to the finals which is to be held on Thrusday are Gitika (48kg), Babyrojisana Chanu (51kg), Vinka (60kg), Arundhati Choudhary (69kg), Poonam (57kg), Thokchom Sanamchu Chanu (75kg) and Alfiya Pathan (+81kg) among women. Among men, only Sachin Siwach (56kg) made it to the final.
Three other players settled for bronze medals at the tournament which in total added to 10 medals for India.
