This autumn, two legendary comedians will visit Austin. Amy Poehler and Tina Fey announced their Restless Leg Tour will continue following the success of their first live sold-out tour this spring, with Austin serving as the only Texas destination in the upcoming fall extension.
On Thursday, October 12, 2023, the writers, producers, actresses, and former cast members of Saturday Night Live will now stop by Bass Concert Hall in Austin. Texas Inner Circle members can purchase pre-sale tickets beginning on Wednesday, June 21 at 10 am on texasperformingarts.org. Tickets will go on sale to the general public coming Friday, June 23 at 10 am. At tinaamytour.com, there is also an artist presale with the code RESTLESS. At each show, a small number of VIP merchandise bundle tickets will be offered.
The two comedians, who were both SNL alumni, had incredibly lucrative careers after leaving the show. Fey is most known for developing and playing “Liz Lemon” in the comedy series 30 Rock, which has gotten a record-breaking 22 Emmy nominations in a single season for any comedy series. Over the course of the show’s seven seasons, it has received 103 nominations and won 16 awards.
Fey is also recognised for penning the screenplay for the popular comedy movie Mean Girls, which she later adapted for the stage (12 Tony Award nominations), and once more for a fresh musical feature picture that Paramount is currently pre-producing. Poehler is best known for her lead role in the Emmy-nominated NBC comedy series Parks and Recreation. She is now co-hosting Peacock’s Baking It’s second season with Maya Rudolph and serving as executive producer.
