Actor Ananya Panday shared a personal insight into her views on love and relationships during the trailer launch of her upcoming film Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. Speaking at the event, the actor said she resonates more with old-school romance and does not relate to the casual dating culture that dominates conversations today.
Describing herself as a family-oriented person, Ananya explained that emotional connection and long-term commitment form the foundation of her idea of love. She said she values relationships where families come together, adding that she hopes her partner’s family would also become an extension of her own. According to the actor, this sense of belonging and emotional security is central to how she views romance.
Ananya further elaborated that her perspective on love is rooted in the past. Calling herself a “90s love story person,” she said she believes in relationships built on patience, understanding and shared values rather than fleeting connections. The actor made it clear that the idea of modern-day hookup culture does not align with her personal beliefs, stating that she does not identify with such trends.
The actor also noted that her outlook on relationships helped her connect deeply with her character Rumi in the film. She shared that Rumi’s emotional approach to love mirrors her own, making the role feel more natural and relatable. Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri stars Kartik Aaryan alongside Ananya Panday and is slated for release soon.
