According to the CAG’s latest reports the Andhra Pradesh government currently sits on a debt burden throne which has increased by Rs. 3,73,140 crore by November 2020 amid the pandemic. The Andhra government has become the state which has the most borrowings with minimum development of the state. The government borrowed Rs. 73,811.85 crore from various financial institutions by Nov 2020 to foot various congress freebie schemes where as the annual target of the borrowings was set at Rs. 48,295.59 crore.
