Anjini Dhawan, Varun Dhawan’s niece, made her Bollywood debut in Binny and Family, starring Pankaj Kapur. While the dramedy may not have had a huge impact at the box office, it appears that the newbie has acquired her second project, and it’s an intriguing one!
According to a recent report, Anjini would play a crucial role in AR Murugadoss and Salman Khan’s Sikandar. In an interview with India Today, when asked about allegations of her joining Sikandar, the actor responded, “Is it? “Do I?” she asked, before breaking out laughing and mentioning that she had come prepared (to avoid such questions).
As reported by Mid-Day, Anjini has been cast in a key part that requires a new face, making her an excellent candidate. Dhawan is anticipated to begin filming shortly. However, the nature of Anjini’s character and her link to Salman’s protagonist remain unknown, since the team wishes to keep her role a secret due to its importance in the tale.
As per Pinkvilla, Salman’s role exhibits arrogance. He embodies the genuine nature of a ‘Sikandar,’ coming from a royal lineage and displaying traits of fury and pride. Sikandar is Salman Khan’s first collaboration with filmmaker A.R. Murugadoss. They are working on an action-packed film starring Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, and Kajal Aggarwal.
The film began shooting in Mumbai in June 2024. Pritam composed the music for Sikandar, which will have dancing numbers, love tunes, and an emotional piece. Sikandar is slated to visit theatres for Eid 2025. After finishing filming for Sikandar, Salman Khan is slated to begin his next project with Atlee in January or February 2025.
