“App-Store commission slashes to 15% for small businesses”, says Apple CEO Tim Cook

On wednesday, Apple announced a reduction on the commission it takes on the in-app purchases on App Store. The cut, to 15% from 30% is specifically for small developers with a revenue of $1 million over the past year starting from January 1 2021, says Apple CEO Tim Cook. Apple has taken this step as it has previously faced backslash by various small developers like spotify who were finding it difficult to pay 30% commission.
