Apple may launch Augmented Reality contact lenses in 2030

Apple Inc. may launch Augmented Reality based contact lenses. According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the AR lenses will bring electronics from the time of  “visible computing” to “invisible computing.” Apple is planning to launch its lenses in 2030.

The AR lenses will function depending on an iPhone or other Apple devices for connection. A report by MacRumors suggests that the contact lenses will be able to provide users with a lightweight AR experience without needing to wear a headset or glasses.

Apple is supposed to be working on new AR glasses – Apple Glass. These glasses might launch in early 2022 that will come along with 6 lenses and a LiDAR distance tracking for AR and VR capabilities. The glasses are rumoured to be priced at $500.

Apple is also working on a virtual reality headset likely to cost $3000.
