Apple Store app launches in India: Personalised shopping for Apple products now more enhanced!

Apple has officially launched the Apple Store app in India, offering customers a personalised and seamless way to explore, customise, and purchase Apple products and services. Now available for download on the App Store, the app is designed to bring the full Apple experience directly to users’ fingertips, complete with tailored recommendations and exclusive support features.

Karen Rasmussen, Apple’s head of Retail Online, expressed enthusiasm about the app’s debut. “At Apple, our customer is at the centre of everything we do, and we are thrilled to introduce the Apple Store app to reach even more users in India, further deepening our connections,” she said. “With this app, customers can shop for our incredible products, receive personalised support, and experience the best of Apple in a whole new way.”

The app is designed with several intuitive tabs to enhance user engagement:

  • Products Tab: A one-stop hub for browsing the latest Apple devices, accessories, and services. It includes information on programs like Apple Trade-In and financing options.
  • For You Tab: This section curates personalised recommendations and keeps track of favourited and saved items for convenient access.
  • Go Further Tab: After making a purchase, users can connect with Apple Specialists for setup assistance, watch tip videos, or join Today at Apple sessions at nearby Apple Stores.

One of the app’s standout features is its customisation options:

  • Macs can be configured with upgraded chips, memory, and storage.
  • Engraving is available for products like AirPods, iPads, and Apple Pencils, offering options in eight languages, including emojis, initials, and names.
  • Soon, users will also be able to schedule digital gift messages to accompany their purchases.

The app also simplifies delivery and pickup, ensuring that customers in India can conveniently receive their products. Additionally, it helps locate Apple’s physical stores for in-person support.

This launch follows Apple’s recent expansion in India, with the opening of its first two physical stores in Mumbai and Delhi in April 2023. With plans to extend its retail presence to cities like Bengaluru and Pune, Apple aims to strengthen its connection with Indian consumers by offering a more localised and enriched shopping experience.
