Earlier this year, Pegatron, Apple’s second largest contract manufacturer and Taiwan based electronics manufacturer registered it’s subsidiary in chennai, India. The company has approved an investment of $150 million to set up the manufacturing units and is likely to start production latest by early 2022. It aims at more investments over the next two years as the other two contractors of Apple , Wistron and Foxconn already have their manufacturing units in India.
