Apple’s long-awaited OLED iPad Pro could release in April; Here’s everything you need to know

For some time now, there have been rumours that Apple is working on OLED iPad Pro models, which are anticipated to replace the current M2-powered iPad Pro models. Redesigned, these new versions may come with a higher price tag than the current 12.9″ and 11″ models.

The Elec reports that OLED panels for Apple’s next-generation iPad Pro models might start later this week, with the devices shipping in April of this year.

According to the publication, LG Display, which makes the panels with Samsung Display, has already begun production of the 13″ model’s film transistors or TFT layers. Samsung reportedly began its own process for the 11-inch variant.

As reported by Elec, the completed models will go into mass production around March. This corroborates with what some reports have said recently. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman Bloomberg predicts that the new OLED iPad will enter stores in the spring, maybe as early as March. Ming-Chi Kuo previously projected that new iPad models will be announced in the second quarter of 2024, which could be April, May, or June.
