Actor Arjun Kapoor has confirmed his relationship status following recent breakup rumors with Bollywood actress Malaika Arora. The couple, who started dating in 2018 after Malaika’s divorce from Arbaaz Khan, had reportedly parted ways earlier this year. Kapoor addressed the rumors during a Diwali celebration hosted by politician Raj Thackeray at Mumbai’s Shivaji Park on Monday.
Accompanied by the cast of his upcoming film Singham Again, Kapoor interacted with the crowd. When fans shouted Malaika’s name, the actor smiled and responded, “Nahi abhi single hoon. Relax karo” (No, I’m single now. Relax). Referring to a comment about him being “tall and handsome,” Kapoor humorously noted it sounded like a marriage proposal, adding, “Relax karo pehle.”
Earlier this year, a source close to the pair stated, “Malaika and Arjun had a very special relationship and will always have respect for each other, but they chose to part ways.” The two had kept their relationship private, sharing glimpses of their romance through social media posts and birthday wishes. Last month, Kapoor was seen supporting Malaika after the passing of her father, Anil Mehta.
Meanwhile, Kapoor will appear as the antagonist in Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty, and starring Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and others. The film, third in the Singham series, is set for release this Diwali.
