Bhumi Pednekar is back in the spotlight with her latest OTT release Daldal, and the response from the industry has begun pouring in. Actor Arjun Kapoor recently shared his appreciation for the series and Bhumi’s performance, calling the show a gripping watch and praising her portrayal of a determined police officer.
Taking to social media after what appeared to be a binge-watch session, Arjun described Daldal as “tense, thrilling, and darkly compelling from start to finish.” He added that Bhumi was “crushing it,” saying he was genuinely blown away by her performance.
The web series marks Bhumi’s return to the digital space after she took a nine-month break from acting. The actor stepped away from the limelight following heavy trolling she faced after her OTT debut The Royals, in which she starred opposite Ishaan Khatter. Last year, Bhumi also appeared in Mere Husband Ki Biwi alongside Arjun Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh.
In Daldal, Bhumi plays DCP Rita Ferreira, a senior police officer investigating a string of brutal murders while navigating deep-rooted patriarchy within the system. The series has drawn attention for its dark narrative and Bhumi’s intense performance.
Arjun and Bhumi share a professional history, having previously worked together in The Lady Killer (2023), a film that failed to make an impact at the box office. They reunited again in Mere Husband Ki Biwi, released earlier this year.
On the film front, Bhumi is set to appear next in Adhoore Hum Adhoore Tum, where she will be seen opposite actor Imran Khan, marking another significant project in her evolving career.
