Armie Hammer made some startling admissions about his past behavior in a recent appearance on Your Mom’s House podcast. During the interview, the actor, known for his role in Call Me By Your Name, shared details about how he used relationships with women to boost his ego and gain a sense of power. He revealed that he would take women on whirlwind trips lasting about a month and a half, engaging in sexual relationships with them for validation. Hammer explained that these experiences gave him a feeling of control and self-worth.
He went on to say, “People were my bags of dope with skin on them. Having people want to have sex with me, having sex with people, doing all that stuff, like, it gave me a sense of power. It gave me a sense of validation.” Hammer also admitted that after the relationships, he would often move on to someone else, leaving the women feeling abandoned and confused. “I would scoop these girls up, take them on whirlwind trips… everything’s going to be awesome,” he said, before acknowledging that it left them feeling betrayed when he dropped them.
While Hammer denied the more extreme accusations of rape and cannibalism that have been made against him, he did admit to cheating on his ex-wife, Elizabeth Chambers, with whom he has two children. He said that some of his behavior came from a place that wasn’t the healthiest, but he has been seeking therapy to work on it. “There are aspects of my behavior that I think were coming from maybe not the healthiest place,” Hammer reflected. “Then there were aspects of my behavior that were just expressions of my own sexuality.”
Hammer also expressed concern that his children might eventually hate him due to the public accusations against him, especially the cannibalism claims. In 2020, after ten years of marriage, Elizabeth Chambers filed for divorce from Hammer, marking the end of their relationship.
