Challenging his “illegal arrest”, Republic TV’s Chief Editor Arnab Goswami has filed a petition in the Bombay High Court and sought quashing of the FIR lodged against him and an urgent order of stay in the investigation into the case. The senior journalist was arrested on November 4 for allegedly abetting the suicide of interior designer Anvay Naik. Meanwhile, Goswami was produced before a magistrate’s court which remanded him in judicial custody till November 18.
