Arsenal has agreed to sign West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice in a deal for more than 100 million pounds ($127 million), according to British media.
As per the Guardian, the 24-year-old England international was granted permission to undergo a medical this week before moving across London.
The report added that West Ham had accepted a proposal for 100 million pounds plus 5 million in add-ons, with the guaranteed portion of the fee likely to be paid in three payments over 2 years.
Reuters has reached out to both teams for comment.
West Ham chairman David Sullivan stated last month that a gentleman’s agreement allowed Rice to leave despite having a year left on his contract with the option to extend it for another year.
Rice joined West Ham’s academy as a youngster after leaving Chelsea and he has been a regular since his breakthrough campaign in 2017-18. He has appeared in over 200 games for the club and recently helped them win the Europa Conference League.
