Arun Govil to portray Dashrath in Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’? Here’s what we know

The cast of Nitesh Tiwari’s big project Ramayana is expanding by including more well-known Bollywood actors. Recent reports from ETimes suggest that Arun Govil could play the role of Raja Dashrath in the film.

According to sources, Arun Govil could star as Raja Dashrath, the father of Lord Ram, in Nitesh Tiwari’s next film, Ramayana. Govil, who played Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s classic TV series Ramayan, would provide a special connection to the project. Pinkvilla recently stated that Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi will portray Lord Ram and Sita, respectively, with Yash portraying Raavan. Sunil Deol is set to portray Lord Hanuman. Lara Dutta will portray Kaikeyi, and Rakul Preet Singh is being considered for the role of Shurpanakha. Bobby Deol may also join as Kumbhkaran.

Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor will shortly begin filming for the movie. According to reports, the filmmakers are currently working on the actor’s appearance for the film.

Ranbir Kapoor recently went through a look test for his role as Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s film, as reported by India Today. The entertainment portal was told by a source that Ranbir’s look test photoshoot impressed every member of the team. According to the source, the director does not want Ranbir to build muscle for his role as Lord Ram. Instead, he wants Ranbir to appear in his slim avatar.
