These inconsistencies include claims about the alleged victim’s father and musician Benji Madden, both of whom have disputed the details in the lawsuit. Spiro’s statement emphasized that when something doesn’t happen, the details are likely to be inaccurate.
Spiro also addressed Jay-Z’s relationship with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, who was named alongside Jay-Z in the lawsuit as a co-perpetrator. The lawyer stated that Jay-Z and Combs were not close, claiming that they only “knew each other professionally.” He dismissed any suggestions of a closer relationship, calling stories of their friendship “a matter of fiction.”
This comment, however, sparked backlash on social media, where many users pointed to various public appearances of Jay-Z and Combs together over the years, including attending parties and supporting each other at events. Some users even humorously joked about their “brotherly” bond.
