Ashok Leyland has inaugurated a new integrated commercial vehicle manufacturing facility in Lucknow, reinforcing its long-term commitment to green mobility and sustainable manufacturing. The plant was inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath along with Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and H.D. Kumaraswamy.
Located at Sarojini Nagar Industrial Area near Lucknow Airport, the 70-acre facility is Ashok Leyland’s most sustainable plant globally and is primarily focused on electric vehicle production. The plant has an annual capacity of up to 5,000 vehicles.
The event was attended by senior leaders from the Uttar Pradesh government, diplomats, industrialists, Ashok Leyland’s dealers and suppliers, and Hinduja Group leadership. The workforce largely comprises Uttar Pradesh residents, with strong participation from women employees.
