Avatar: Fire and Ash India box office: James Cameron’s film blazes past ₹100 crore mark on day 5

Avatar: Fire and Ash is expected to gross Rs. 11.50 crore on its first Tuesday at the Indian box office. The film had a modest increase on its first discounted Tuesday, boosting its 5-day earnings in India to just more than Rs. 100 crore. These data exclude 3D charges, which is the reporting standard in India.

While the film is performing less well than its predecessor, Avatar: The Way of Water, the trend is comparable, if not somewhat better. Avatar: Fire and Ash needs to hold firm on weekdays before experiencing a significant increase on Thursday, Christmas Day. Based on existing trends, the James Cameron film is expected to gross roughly Rs. 125 crore in its debut week.

The film will profit from a 10-day vacation period, which should push its total revenue over Rs. 200 crore by next week. Hollywood films might last several weeks, earning a low but consistent income. Given all of this, the film has the potential to gross Rs. 250 crore in India. It will be a strong figure for a Hollywood film in India, but James Cameron’s ambitions are much higher.

The iconic director’s previous three films, including two Avatar(s) and Titanic, were not only the highest-grossing Hollywood blockbusters at the time of release, but also among the best-grossing films in the country. Fire and Ash will fall short of their great expectations.
