After ending their relationship a few weeks ago, Avril Lavigne and Tyga are still hanging around.
On 4 July, Tuesday, the two performers were both present at a California Nobu restaurant in Malibu. Lavigne, 38, and Tyga, 33, were spotted moving through the throng of people while sporting matching all-white ensembles. Their appearance follows reports that they were seen hanging out together over the weekend in Las Vegas. On Saturday, photographers captured the couple conversing in what seemed to be the VIP area of Encore Beach Club.
Before mounting the stage himself later that evening, Tyga reportedly witnessed Lavigne play at Marshmello’s Fourth of July DJ set there. After three and a half months of dating, Lavigne and Tyge announced their separation last month. However, based on their recent public appearances together, they seem to be on good terms.
The “Bite Me” singer and the “Rack City” rapper were originally the subject of romance rumours when they were seen cuddling on Feb. 19 during a supper at Nobu. The two were “genuinely friends and nothing more,” an insider told PEOPLE at the time, although PEOPLE later confirmed days later that Lavigne’s engagement to singer Mod Sun had ended less than a year after his Paris proposal. “Avril and Mod Sun have been on and off for the past two months, but are no longer together as a couple.”
After that, Lavigne and Tyga travelled to Paris together, where they were frequently seen during Paris Fashion Week. On March 6, the couple was seen kissing outside the Mugler X Hunter Schafer party after dropping by Leonardo DiCaprio’s party at Kùkù restaurant. However, a source claimed at the time that the relationship was “very new” and “very casual.”
