Rapper and music producer Badshah is known for his larger-than-life persona, but behind the fame and fortune, he says some habits never change. In a recent interview, the artist opened up about his expensive lifestyle, sharing that despite owning watches worth several crores and luxury cars, he still checks price tags before making a purchase.
Speaking to Curly Tales, Badshah revealed that his watch collection includes timepieces that cost over ₹5 crore each. He also recalled buying a ₹12-crore Rolls-Royce Cullinan on impulse, a decision that reflects his fondness for high-end automobiles.
However, the rapper clarified that his love for luxury does not mean he has lost perspective. According to him, being materialistic simply means appreciating good things, while relationships continue to hold greater value in his life.
Badshah explained that his outlook is shaped by his middle-class upbringing. Before making it big in the music industry, he worked a regular 9-to-5 job, an experience he credits for keeping him grounded. Even today, he admits to hiding the actual cost of his expensive purchases from his parents, believing they would find it hard to accept that a watch could be worth so much.
While Badshah enjoys the finer things in life, his career continues to reach new milestones. The rapper is set to become the first Indian hip-hop artist to headline a concert at London’s iconic O2 Arena on March 22.
