Sensex closed higher at 48,176 gaining 307 points or 0.64%. Nifty was up by 126 points or 0.90% at 14,144. Pharma, FMCG and Metal sectors outperformed in today’s session. Tata Steel and Hindalco received the position of top gainers, while Jubilant Foodworks and Hero Motocorp clubbed in top losers.
