Besiktas made no mistake in their last game of the season against Göztepe and won the game 2-0 against them, they clinched the title from Istanbul side Galatasaray as both the sides were on 81 points in their last games.
Besiktas won the league with a one-goal aggregate against Galatasaray. They racked up 84 points in this season. This is the first league title for Besiktas in four seasons. This season was one of the most competitive seasons ever, where three teams were candidates to win the title until the last game.

Galatasaray won their last game against Malatyaspor 4-1, but it was not enough to beat the Istanbul-based powerhouse. Fenerbahce, the third probable contenders got an injury-time victory against Kayserispor, but it was not futile as Besiktas’ lead was much better than those two.
Galatasaray managed to clinch the UEFA Champions League spot as the runner-ups in the league, they will be participating in the next season’s European competition. This season of football has been very hard for fans but this title win will give them some hope and happiness for the upcoming tournaments.
