Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras
IIT Madras is ranked first among the best IITs in the world by NIRF. For the last three years, this college has ranked first among top engineering colleges in India. It was founded in 1959 and has been working to help students progress ever since.

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi
IIT Delhi is ranked second in the NIRF. The College of Engineering and Technology was founded in 1961, and the name was changed to IIT Delhi in 1963. It is one of the top engineering colleges in the country, with a beautiful campus surrounded on one side by the Lotus Temple and on the other by the Qutub Minar. With the third NIRF ranking, IIT Bombay ranks third among India’s top five IITs. IIT Bombay was founded in 1958, making it the country’s second oldest IIT and one of the country’s oldest engineering colleges. They have extensive graduate programmes that lead to doctoral degrees in a variety of fields such as mathematics, science, engineering, and technology.

 

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur 
IIT Kanpur is ranked fourth in the country by NIRF, making it one of India’s top five IITs. This college was founded in 1959 by the Government of India. The Indian government established this institute as part of the Kanpur Indo-American Program.

The institute is a public research organisation that has worked on a number of public and social utility projects. The JEE Advanced 2018 exams were held at IIT Kanpur. An interesting fact about this college is that they are so invested in their students’ development that they add 4500+ journals to their collection every year.

 

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur
IIT Kharagpur is the oldest IIT in India, having been founded in 1951. With an NIRF ranking of 5, the college has shown significant improvements over the years through outstanding performance.

The institute is well-known for housing the world’s largest library, as well as for housing 19 academic departments, five central research units, 13 schools of excellence, and eight multi-disciplinary centres. For a long time, IIT Kharagpur has been well-known among engineering students.
