According to Sai D Prasad, President, Quality Operations at Bharat Biotech, ‘Covaxin’ will be at least 60 percent effective and the company is planning to launch it’s Coronavirus vaccine by Q2 in 2021. However, the effectiveness of the vaccine can be more as well. Earlier this month, Bharat Biotech in partnership with ICMR started with the phase 3 trials of the vaccine involving 26,000 volunteers across 25 centres in India.
