In an Extra Masala video, Devoleena Bhattacharjee is seen conversing with Vikas Gupta about her father.
She said she lost her father when she was 11 and being the elder one in the house she chose to be strong instead of crying, and take the responsibility of her family. She cried used to cry alone, and started sleeping on her father’s bed and keep an iron stick under the bed.
To which Vikas asks, “Why stick, koi chiz se darti thi?” Devoleena says, “Nai, kuch galat hontoh laad saku uske liye.”
She futher shared a childhood story stating, “I cried and cried and then went to sleep as I was missing my father.” She adds that she got a dream in which an angel came and showed her a way towards tree under which her father was standing and gave her message to be strong in life.”
