In an Extra Masala clip, Abhinav asks Nikki about her mother, whether she is a working woman, to which the latter replies that her mother is a housewife and adds that she is very attached to her.
Later, Abhinav asks, “Tu ghar par unke sath Hindi bolti hai yaa Marathi?’ Nikki replies, “Marathi”. He goes on talking about his parents and states that, “Mein papa mumma ke sath Hindi bolta hun, par woh apas mein Punjabi bolte hai. Mein sab dosto aur rishtedaaro ke samne Punjabi bol leta hu.”
