 
									On Friday, Union Ministers Pralhad Joshi and Bhupender Yadav were appointed by BJP as in-charge for assembly polls in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, respectively. Their job would be to stepping up the party’s campaign for key state polls before the Lok Sabha contest in 2024.
Meanwhile, for Telangana and Chhattisgarh, the party appointed former Union Minister Prakash Javadekar and another senior party leader Om Prakash Mathur, respectively.
Former Gujarat deputy chief minister Nitin Patel and Haryana leader Kuldeep Bishnoi has been appointed as co-incharges for the Rajasthan polls. Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will be co-incharge of Chhattisgarh.
National party’s general secretary Sunil Bansal is appointed as co-incharge for Telangana, while Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw is given the same for Madhya Pradesh.
The four states will be joined by Mizoram to go to the polls in October – November.
Javadekar, soon after his appointment, asserted that the mood of people of Telangana are in favour of BJP. The Bharat Rashtra Samithi has been the ruling party in the state for nearly 10 years and now Javadekar believes BJP will win the upcoming polls. He added that the government led by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has failed people on all fronts.
