A video of a BJP leader being thrashed with sticks and rocks on the street of Greater Noida is going viral on the internet. It seems that locals of the area, from Kasna area in Ladpura village in Uttar Pradesh has been beating the politician.
The purported video shows the BJP leader running away in an attempt to safeguard his life as some angry men hit him mercilessly. The mob did not leave the leader even when the leader fell on the ground and rained blows on him with rods and sticks.

As per some news reports, there was some dispute between two sides in a village over some issue and the BJP leader was chased down and beaten. Fortunately, the police arrived on the scene and saved him.
The BJP leader, Rahul Pandit, who is the vice president of the party in the district, was taken to the hospital for treatment. A case has been registered against 11 people and police are trying to find the culprit.
