The number of live-action production features is decreasing daily, which is why the majority of studios are on a quest to increase their animation material. Recently, Netflix acquired the rights to their next series, Blue Eye Samurai. The series will be adapted for the cinema by Michael Green and Amber Noizumi, and a star-studded cast from some of the largest shows is committed to the project.
However, the series was announced in 2002, and while it has been over two years, we are still unaware of what happened to its development. Both Netflix and the show’s creator have yet to provide updates on whether or not the show’s scripting has been completed.
Blue Eye Samurai Season 1 Plot
Because Netflix hasn’t yet gone into great detail on the new project, not much is known about the Samurai series’ premise. Now that we know, we may assume that the new series will be set more than 400 years ago. The main character is the mixed-race master Erskine, whose entire existence is driven by retaliation.
He is a master of the sword, and in order to keep his identity a secret and prevent being recognized among the crowd, he lives in disguise. The topics of disguise and retaliation will be covered in the series. It will also reveal the origins of the sword Master’s fervent desire for vengeance.
Blue Eye Samurai Season 1 Cast
The series features some outstanding talent, and we can immediately tell it will be a blast. Maya Erskine (Pen15), Masi Oka, Randall Park (Blockbuster), George Takei (Hit-Monkey), Brenda Song, Darren Barnet (Never Have I Ever), and Cary-Hiroyuki are a few of the actors that appear in the series. The roles of Hikaru Sulu in Star Trek, Hiro Nakamura in Heroes, and Maggie in Man Seeking Woman made Erskine renowned.
The cast’s formal roles in the new series have not yet been revealed by Netflix, but the information will be released when it becomes available.
Blue Eye Samurai Season 1 Trailer
The series trailer has not yet been made public, and as of right now, we are unsure of its release date. Netflix hasn’t given us an update on whether or not the show’s production has begun, and if it hasn’t, there won’t be a trailer. The series trailer won’t be released before 2024, at the earliest.
Blue Eye Samurai Season 1 Release Date
In 2020, Blue Eye Samurai was announced, but two years later, we still haven’t heard anything about how the series is doing. When production begins, neither the number of episodes nor the setting for the series is known.
Since Netflix hasn’t provided any updates on the filming or production, it’s probable that the Samurai series is still in the early stages of creation. The Samurai series may follow the same route as other Netflix projects that failed even before they began. Depending on how prepared the creators are, the series may debut in 2023 or 2024 if it is still in development.
