Bobby Darling accuses Kapil Sharma of ignoring her; recalls being mocked on his show

Actor Bobby Darling, who became popular in the early 2000s with films like Style, Chalte Chalte, Page 3 and Kya Kool Hain Hum has spoken about her struggles in the entertainment industry. In a recent interview, she revealed that she never felt accepted and claimed that comedian Kapil Sharma ignored her when she reached out for work on his show.

Bobby recalled that during the early phase of her career, many actors mocked her identity. “They used to look at me with dirty eyes because at that time no one even knew much about the LGBTQ community. And today, those same actors are playing my roles on Kapil’s show. They are the ones who once made fun of me and today they run their kitchens by doing my roles,” she said.

She further alleged that Kapil Sharma did not respond when she asked him for work. “Kapil, there was a time when you were struggling. You used my name, made filthy jokes and entertained people and I felt happy then. But now when I needed your help, you ignored me. I am not begging for money, I am begging for work. You didn’t even acknowledge my message,” Bobby said, adding that she felt destiny itself had answered him.

Bobby Darling, who also appeared in Bigg Boss 1, became one of the first openly transgender personalities to gain visibility in mainstream entertainment. Meanwhile, Kapil Sharma is currently hosting The Great Indian Kapil Show and will next be seen in Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, directed by Anukal Goswami.
