Shah Rukh Khan’s co-stars have often admired him for his humility, warmth, and larger-than-life generosity. Recently, actor Boman Irani offered a glimpse into the superstar’s off-screen persona during a conversation with Humans of Bombay.
Describing SRK’s infectious energy on set, Boman said, “Shah Rukh enjoys being on a set. He enjoys being with people. He enjoys the collective nature of creating a movie. He is very giving, very big-hearted. His suite door will always be open. There will be snacks, people walk in and out, and he plays games when he has the time. The set is always fun.”
The two actors have shared the screen in six films, including Main Hoon Na (2004), Don (2006), Happy New Year (2014), Dilwale (2015), and most recently Dunki (2023).
But while Boman had only praise for SRK’s generosity, he jokingly admitted one small complaint. “He is extremely boring when it comes to food. He only eats tandoori chicken and nothing else. Everyone’s enjoying a lovely meal but Shah Rukh is unbothered. I do have a problem there — he doesn’t give me company when it comes to food.”
On the work front, Boman Irani was last seen in ZEE5’s stylish whodunit Detective Sherdil (2025), while SRK continues to ride high on the success of Dunki.
