With its theatrical release just days away, The Raja Saab continues to build anticipation among fans. The fantasy horror comedy, led by Prabhas, is set to hit cinemas on January 9 and is being positioned as one of the most awaited releases of the Sankranthi season. Amid the growing buzz, actor Boman Irani has shared insights into his experience of working with the film’s lead star.
Speaking at a pre-release event, Boman said that Prabhas’ real-life personality contrasts sharply with his larger-than-life screen presence. He noted that while audiences may expect Prabhas to behave like a typical superstar, the actor is instead warm, approachable, and almost boyish in his interactions on set. According to Boman, Prabhas speaks to everyone with ease and never demands special treatment despite his immense popularity.
Boman further described Prabhas as someone who enjoys his stardom without flaunting it. He added that the actor’s innocence stands out, especially considering the level of success he has achieved. Recalling moments from the set, Boman said Prabhas loves to joke and laugh, often being the first and loudest to do so, giving him the energy of a teenager.
Directed by Maruthi, The Raja Saab features an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, Niddhi Agerwal, and Boman Irani. The filmmaker has promised fans a completely new avatar of Prabhas and has expressed strong confidence in the film’s content.
Produced by People Media Factory and IVY Entertainment, the film was announced in January 2024 after filming began in 2022. It will release during Sankranthi, facing competition from several Telugu and Tamil films.
